Tye nodded at his words. Sometimes she even got funny looks because of her name... People tended to question her mother's sanity on why she gave her kid such a weird name. A name that to dragons was perfectly fine... "Yeah, I know what you mean. Humans tend to think that our names are really weird for some reason." She gave a smile towards Lance. "Fortunately, though, unlike humans I don't judge people for their names and I think yours sounds just fine."
Tye looked at Lance when he asked for her name, would he recognize her human name? She kind of hoped he wouldn't, they were having fun right now and if Lance was intimidated by her status then he probably wouldn't want to do anything else for fear of doing or saying the wrong thing. "My name? Why I have two, actually. In this human form I go by Tye Raquen and as a dragon it's Sunfeather." As she waited for a reply she couldn't help but let her mind wonder to whether or not he would know her and how he would react to talking to a clan leader... However, he could be the type to not care who they were talking to, or even better he may not know her...

The first name she had given had struck no thought in Lance. It seemed like a reasonable name to give out to humans and the like in order to keep the obscurities at bay. He didn't recognize it in the least of things and simply nodded. However, the second name Sunfeather was what all but caught him off guard. So she was a dragon clan leader? Yet why was she here of all places. Was she trying to take over the area or something of the like. No. Lance thought to himself after another moment. They were just having fun, he finally decided. Everyone needs to get out and the like. This was what Lance had finally come to. Lance's mind shifted back, and he just smiled. We all have things that we don't want to deal with... I'm of no exception. And with that, he began to feign lax knowledge on who she was in order to continue having fun.
"Ah, nice to meet you fully now Miss Sunny," he grinned lightly taking somewhat of an over dramatic bow in order to seem more obscure in the moment. "Or Miss Feather since you are indeed the Teacher of this school house." He grinned lightly moving up again and gesturing around the empty desks again with one hand. "Hopefully your class will behave today," he winked a bit with a grin before leaning back a bit and shoving his hands in his pockets.

Tye could tell that her dragon name had caught him off guard. Obviously he had not expected a Dragon Clan leader to be here just goofing off and not plotting anything like the takeover of a territory. Like she would ever do that, it was against the treaty and there was no way she was going to violate it and start another war. Who knew how long this one would last.
At the bow and the grin though, it was hard to tell that he knew who she was... And that was just fine with her. "Well, I have to say it's a pleasure to meet you as well, especially a student with good manners like you have. However, you don't have to call me Miss Feather that makes me feel old... You can just call me Sunny." She had never had anyone call her Sunny before, not even her sister. It was rather nice though and made her feel more like a normal dragon that was walking around just living for fun.
Tye gazed around at the desks with a mock severe gaze like she was staring at a bunch of unruly children. "They had better behave, or else no one will get to go outside for recess." She turned her attention to one desk in particular. "Especially you, young Bobby, you should learn to be more like Mr. Talon." She grinned at Lance.

"Hah, Sunny it is then. Don't want to make ya feel old now do I?" Lance grinned a bit and then nodded lightly looking back at the class for a minute. The desks remained frozen in time, yet the imaginary students were all up and making quiet fusses to themselves as far as Lance was concerned. As Sunny brought up the name Mr. Talon, Lance grinned a bit. "Hey now you're making me feel old." He laughed a fraction and then shook his head a bit.
Looking about the room as if looking for something more to do, Lance slowly started to walk around the area with an easy step. Looking out the window, he noticed that the sun had retreated even more and was all but gone. "Ever play air night tag?" Lance asked turning his head with a smirk at Sunny. "It doesn't disrupt the birds as much or the humans for that matter in the night." He chuckled a bit to himself and finished his full pilgrimage around the room ending up at the door, turning, and then leaning on it causing the door to give a creek sound.

"Hey now you're making me feel old." Tye laughed with him and smiled. "Oops, sorry. So, how about I just call you Lan, then? To keep both of us from feeling too old." She suggested lightly.
Tye watched for a minute as the griffin walked around. He seemed to be looking for something, she was about to ask but decided against it. If he had something he wanted to look for or do she was sure that he would mention it. So, she settled for looking around the cubbies again to see if she could find anything of interest. Unfortunately, all she managed to find was a spider, some dust, and quite a few cobwebs... nothing interesting. Oh well, that was fine she supposed.
"Ever play air night tag?" Tye looked up from from the cubbies. She had a questioning look on her face. "No, although my sister used to try and get me to play it. Always been busy though so I never got a chance to do it myself." She remembered watching the young dragons of the clan play some game but she never really had paid much attention to them, there was always so much stuff to be done that she never bothered to join them... But why had Lance brought it up? "Why do you ask?"

"Ya ever played?" Lance asked back. "It's fun heh...." He rolled his shoulders methodically against the school door, and almost on cue, the door opened a fraction and slid out into the dusk area around the school house. For one reason or another, the griffin doubted that the dragon had played. It was more of a feeling rather than based on any sort of fact, but the griffin was all too keenly aware that sometimes his feelings were completely wrong. This was why he forced an open mind on things.
Lance's eye moved around the room with Sun as she looked around the different cubbies and things, and he was once again reminded that he had found that strange sphere. It questioned him as to why it was there, but the question only passed half a second through his mind before it fell back again to the back of his mind. "How about a game?" he finally asked.

Tye eyed Lance as he leaned against the door. What was he getting at? Was he going to invite her to play a game of it or something? "No, can't say that I have before..." She walked back to the desk at the front of the room and sat on it. There was a slight creaking sound, but what didn't have a creaking sound in this old place? As long as nothing broke then they were fine.
Her eyes broke away from the griffin and she looked down at her hands. For a second she allowed fingernails to turn into long white claws but the sound of Lance's voice distracted her and they went back. "How about a game?" Tye blinked and tilted her head to the side. "A game?" Well, she should have known he would invite her to one but the question was, would she play? It wasn't exactly the most mature thing a clan leader could do... If another leader caught her, or even one of the more judgmental of her clan did she would never live it down. However, the chance of running into someone like that were slim... And she would love to actually play... "Sure, that sounds fun." A toothy grin formed on her face as she answered Lance.

The red haired man was both surprised and happy that Sun had agreed. One look backwards was all the red haired man needed as to make sure that the door was still open outside. A sudden grin lit his face as he suddenly stepped forwards fast and poked her on the shoulder.
"Then tag, you're it," he answered before turning and starting straight out of the school house.
As soon as he was out from under the porch, Lance seemed to explode with more speed and jumped into the air taking on his griffin form. His wings broke the air fast and beat upwards taking only a few seconds to get approximately a hundred-fifty feet in the air. Twisting his body around and now all but flying backwards, Lance turned around and looked towards the school house had just left wondering if Sun was going to catch up or where she was at that point. This'll be fun.... he thought to himself now flying more like a helicopter to keep in the air yet not truly moving anywhere as his senses looked around for Sun.

Tye could tell that the game had started when Lance rushed up and tagged her. Then he quickly turned and ran out of the house. "Hey! No fair I wasn't ready!" She giggled and ran out of the schoolhouse after Lance. She looked around and saw him shift to his griffin form and leap into the air. The dragoness ran forward a few feet then leaped into the air, practically exploding into her dragon form.
Her huge gold wings beat the air and quickly carried her up to Lance's height. The griffin was looking around trying to find her. Sunfeather's whiskers trembled in amusement as she watched him, then she flew backwards a few inches. She paused for a few moments then projected a telepathic sentence to Lance. -Better watch out, I'm about to get you!- With that she flew forward and slapped her tail across Lance's shoulder. -You're it!- She thought to him gleefully.
She flapped her large leathery wings to try and build speed to get away from the griffin. Her gold eyes pierced through the darkness as she flew away.

-Better watch out, I'm about to get you!- Lance didn't have time to react to this sudden message as he half turned and was tagged. Watching as Sunny flew off almost instantly trying to get away, Lance smirked a bit and was already hot on her tail twisting through the skies with his lean body made more for speed than muscle to begin with.
Twisting around in the air a fraction, Lance broke up higher into the air and was now easily gliding over the dragoness. Suddenly quickly diving almost as though he were true to his eagle headed feature, Lance dived straight downwards and tagged Sun with the tip of his wing before quickly breaking in the air and twisting around completely in the opposite direction. -You're It- he grinned a bit continuing in the opposite direction and accelerating a bit gaining altitude even in the night.
Despite the lack of light, Lance weaved himself through the area easily. Looking back, Lance stopped to find that Sun had suddenly disappeared again. Not wanting to get caught for the same trick again, Lance flew straight upwards.

Sunfeather glanced behind her and couldn't see the griffin. She thought that she was going to fast for him and had lost him. Her speed slowed a little as she looked behind her, unfortunately she was looking in the wrong direction. She was looking backwards when she should have been looking up. She felt something feathery touch her and a waft of wind brought a scent to her muzzle. Glancing downwards she saw Lance flying away. -You're It.-
She smiled as much as she could in this form and took off after the griffin. He was really fast and a good flier, so she'd have to be crafty. An idea then formed in her head. With a quick glance in Lance's direction she saw that he must have lost her again as he had stopped and was looking around. Perfect opportunity...
Sunfeather flapped her wings and tried to gain altitude quickly, she was better at most dragons with flying fast but a griffin could beat a dragon in pure speed anyday. Lance looked the part of a fast flier easily, his slim figure showed that he was very fast.
She looked up into the air and saw her target, a group of clouds made to look dark in the night sky. She could hide behind those and jump out when Lance came by. The dragoness sniggered and flew upwards behind the clouds. She looked out from behind them briefly to see the griffin flying upwards. Smiling she flew out from behind the clouds and began to fly upwards with the griffin for a few moments. -Surprise and tag!- The dragoness reached a paw out and tagged the griffin. Then, quickly she stopped flapping her wings and seemed to fall out of the air backwards. After she had fallen a few feet she rolled over and flew outwards away from Lance as fast as she could.

-Surprise and tag!- She had caught him again. She can play... and well.... Lance grinned to himself as he dove in the air after Sunny again. Dropping down a few feet, Lance found himself gliding a few feet above the trees as he gained distance closer and closer again. However, dodging the taller trees became more of a chore than anything. Breaking up a few feet and gliding over again, Lance suddenly had an idea. Dropping dead into the trees, he twisted his form in and out of them staying now hidden in them until he finally broke the surface of them again and tagged Sun on the stomach.
-Not bad but your it- the griffin laughed twisting his way upwards higher in the air once more. Looking down for a brief moment, the griffin noticed the ground and the town receding farther and farther away as the griffin beat his way up even higher into the air. Breaking past a sharp layer of clouds, Lance turned and waited suddenly frozen in the air with a grin on his face.

A smirk appeared on Sun's face as she saw Lance rise into the air, avoiding the trees. She laughed and smiled, seemed as if he couldn't avoid the trees good enough to pursue her. Her thoughts were broken off as she herself had dodge around a particularly large tree herself, now she couldn't really blame him. They were a little difficult to dodge when you were trying to concentrate on keeping from being tagged by someone else. Sun would have tried to rise up into the air so she wouldn't have to worry about them, but that was out of her nature. She'd prefer to dodge around the trees than to rise into the air away from her intended course.
The dragoness glanced behind her as a slight clearance was made in the trees... She couldn't see Lance anywhere... Where had he gone? She turned back around and narrowly dodged out of the way of a large tree. This was getting particularly dangerous... Maybe she should swallow her pride and- Something touched her belly and soared upwards past her. She knew exactly what that something was without having to listen to the sound of the voice in her head. She laughed at the craftiness of the griffin. How clever was he to hide in the trees? Very much so indeed.
She chased after the griffin as he sailed into the air towards the clouds. She was enjoying this immensely, a day away from responsibilities to just do whatever. In her joy she bypassed the griffin and headed towards the moon, flying in front of it briefly before looping around back to Lance. Before she tagged him she flew in a circle around him with a smirk on her face. -Well, this is turning out to be a fantastic day. Glad I ran into you, Lance.- Her mouth opened and she laughed loudly before flying towards the griffin. She used her nose to tag him then she sailed upwards more and headed straight towards the moon. -Tag!-

-Hah this is fun- Lance grinned back as he tried to avoid the tag only to get tagged anyways. Sailing upwards in an event to try and catch up with Sunny, Lance found she just continued to heads traight upwards as if ready to break past the ozone layer and get out into space towards the moon itself. Grinning a bit, the griffin twisted his wings outwards and beat them with more force than before gaining altitude at an immense rate. Finally managing to tag the dragoness's tail, Lance poked it ever so slightly with his talon before retracting. -You're it-His thoughts echoed somewhat obscurely. He couldn't remain at such a high altitude for long and knew it. They were nearly at the top of the tertiary layer, and the earth was nothing but rubble and land beneath them as far as the eye could see downwards.
The griffin let out a sigh and then closed his wings completely and seemed to almost torpedo back down to the Earth below him. Closing his eyes and allowing the hum of the air rushing by him to make more music than anything, Lance hummed a bit to himself as he traveled downwards now spiraling as if to increase his speed. Four hundred feet from the ground, the griffin forced his wings open again and caught an updraft that raised him a few feet. Twisting himself around again, the griffin smirked a bit.

Sunfeather tried to sail away from the griffin's tag that didn't work very well. She flew higher and higher and it was becoming harder to keep up the altitude. Her nostrils flared as she tried to take in more oxygen and she barely even noticed that Lance had touched her tail until he said that she was it. Sun took one glance behind her then she saw Lance tumbling backwards. She decided to mirror home, except she wanted to make it more acrobatic. She she tilted forwards and closed her large wings to her body tightly. This made her start tumbling out of the air in somersaults, or something very close to it. The whole thing was exhilarating as she headed faster and faster towards the ground and trees. She knew full well that if she miscalculated by just a bit then she could easily end her life by crashing into the ground. However, she was too much of an expert on flying to miscalculate.
Closer and closer the dragoness came to the trees then at the last moment she flared her wings out and straightened out her body. They caught air and she was saved from crashing fatally to the trees and instead she just carefully brushed her paws over them. Then, she headed farther up into the air.
-Wow! What a rush!- She thought happily projecting the thoughts of her somersaulting dive to Lance. Sometimes actual images showed your feelings better than words. She looked around in the sky and pinpointed the griffin and glided easily to him, thoughts of their game momentarily forgotten as her heart raced from her plummet from the sky.
