It wasn't as if Murth had nothing better to do. That wasn't really the case at all, in fact. He probably should have been sitting at attention in the forest, where he would study the ways of the clans, learning their rules and their customs; he was a new member, relatively, and thus still an apprentice. Though he enjoyed the company of fellow dragons, he really was not exactly thrilled about needing to go through the mundanity of learning the rules and regulations like he was some toddling human. So he should have been doing those things, but he wasn't. Instead, he was laying in a patch of moss and grass, warmed by the sun. His rear legs and tail were trailing in the water by the waterfall, and occasionally a fish would nibble at his leathery skin. He ventured that they were attracted by the change in temperature, and were coming to find a source of food. He didn't mind. If they were finding anything that didn't belong there, he preferred that the fish eat it away so that he would not need to groom himself again later.
His eyes opened slowly, hazy but still brilliantly golden green in the bright day. His whiskers were mostly still, stirring only as something snapped a twig here or rustled in some bushes there. He yawned widely, exposing his wide, forked tongue, and his sharp teeth. But nothing about him in this moment would be considered threatening. He looked almost drugged. Especially once he rolled over onto his back and stretched out his wings, looking every bit like a lion on the savanna, with his paw-like feet resting against his chest and dangling lazily in the water.

A walk through the forest. That was all she needed. People didn't usually get on her nerves but those that were related to her were different. They could just press buttons easy... Especially her know-it-all sister. Tye was just so hard to be around when you were related to her. Always trying to boss her around... Sure, she was older and sure she was also the leader of the Dragon Clan but that didn't matter! ...Or.. maybe it did... but still!
A sigh heaved from the human walking through the forest. Her sharp teeth were bared in an angry snarl. She didn't even know where she was walking to, only that she was getting angrier and that it was become increasingly hard to control the dragon inside of her. So she just let the control slip. She morphed instantly into her furred dragon form.
She stopped and breathed in, relishing in the forest... and water scent. She must be near Waterfall Lake. That was wondeful! Another inhale told her that one of her clan members was around. A knot formed in her stomach as she thought it might be Sunfeather, but that couldn't be... this scent was male. What a relief. She continued on towards the lake, her anger shifting to that of excitment as a plan formed in her head. What if she snuck up on her clan member and surprised them! Yeah! That would be so much fun! Her mind was already getting taken off of her bossy sister.
She smiled and crouched low to the ground and slowly advanced towards the lake. Soon she came within view of her clan member. It was a relatively new clan member, Murth... that was his name, right? She wasn't entirely sure, not like it mattered. She would pounce on him no matter what.
Lowering her wings to the side and crouchig lower she walked towards the dragon as he rolled onto his back and looked at the sky. She paused thinking he might have heard her, but he didn't that much was clear from the look on his face. He looked really sleepy... or drugged... most likely the former.
The dragoness bunched the muscles in her legs and charged. She ran forward as fast as she could and headbutted the male dragon. Aiming to throw him into the lake. She didn't know if it would work or not but hopefully she would at least scare him. "Good afternoon, sleepyhead!" She growled loudly but happily. Her tail wagged side to side mischieviously as she gazed at the other dragon with a happy twinkle in her eyes.

Whiskers aflutter, Murth was aware that there was another presence -- a large one -- in the surrounding forest, but he was confident enough that it wasn't anything over which he needed to worry his pretty little head, so he lounged on. He was focused not on the approaching thing (a dragon, his senses told him as the wind shifted his way), but instead on some fish nibbling at his tail. Maybe he had brushed through some moss or caught some other underwater plant that they were interested in eating. They were swarming around him now, darting to and fro across his skin, rubbing against him then darting away. Most were small, like minnows, but one or two were larger, like a proper river fish. Or maybe a goldfish released into the wild by an irresponsible child. He didn't really know. His whiskers fluttered harder as the presence of the dragon, a female, got closer. He was lost in the motions of the fish and the warmth of the sun covering his light blue skin, so he didn't realize that she was approaching until she was slamming into him. He let out a low warning snarl as he was rolled back over to his side, legs working to right his body.
His claws extended and dug into the soft earth, giving him purchase to stand. He lowered his chest closer to the ground, and unfolded his wings. He let out a soft hiss, but gradually relaxed. "Sunclaw," he greeted, shaking out his wings and lifting his chest from the ground. "You're not coming to come collect me, are you?" He fell to the ground again, crossing his front paws delicately before him. "Because I'm not in any mood for studies on a day like this," he said, settling down further on his side.

The furry dragon watched his threatening stance change to being more relaxed all the while with a smile on her face. "Collect you? Of course not." The dragon before her lowered himself to the ground. She decided to mirror him so her next words would take more effect. "Right now I'm about like you. Not that I have to study anything as far as dragon life goes." Dragon life, no. Human school work, yes. Although she never really studied her work... she never really studied the dragon laws and whatnot when she was an apprentice either. She just sort of caught on to thigs after living with them for a while. Her sister also drilled things into her whenever she got the chance too. "But it's much too nice out here to be workin', although I'm not really sure if my sister wants anything done... we're not exactly seein' eye-to-eye right now." Sunclaw gave a wink. Murth most likely knew that her sister was the Dragon Clan leader. Who didn't, after all? Sunclaw rolled over onto her back and raised her paws into the air. She laid balanced that way by spreading her smoky gray wings on the ground. She squirmed around a bit on the ground to scratch her back. Dirt would most likely stick to her pelt now but she didn't care. She'd get it out later, no biggie. "So, were you just out here doin' nothing?" She asked, looking at the blue dragon. Her tail thumped lazily back and forth as she watched him. "And I have to say that I was too, I'm so glad that everything is peaceful. Or else there may actually be a lot of work to be done." She chuckled. She actually wondered what would happen if anything did break out. What if there was a fight to break out between clans.
